Do I qualify for the monthly complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb (7-day expiry) data?
To qualify for the monthly complimentary data, the following rules must be met:
Your HOSPERSA membership must be active; and Your membership fees must be paid in full and up to date; and You must have an active HOSPERSA SIM card.
When can I redeem my monthly complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb (7-day expiry) data?
You can only redeem your monthly complimentary data ONCE in a calendar month.
Does my monthly complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb data expire?
Yes, the complimentary 100Mb data will expire in
7 days from the day you redeem it.
How do I get my HOSPERSA SIM card if I don’t have one?
Please contact your HOSPERSA Shop Steward or
Labour Relations Officer to find out how to receive
your SIM card.
Can I purchase additional data after my complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb data expires?
Yes! You can purchase additional data and airtime from the HOSPERSA SIM application. Simply click on the ‘Buy Data and Airtime’ button from your app homepage; OR You can also purchase OTT, BLU and 1 vouchers for airtime and data vouchers from your nearest retail outlet.
Can I port my number after I have already activated my HOSPERSA SIM with a new number?
Yes! If you did not port your number when you initially inserted your SIM card, you can port your number by simply sending a WhatsApp with the word “PORT” to 063 901 0001, and follow prompts from your service provider. See the inside of this guide for instructions.
Can I get additional SIM cards for my family members and/or friends?
Yes! You are allowed to purchase unlimited SIM cards for friends and extended family members. Please contact your HOSPERSA Shop Steward or Labour Relations Officer to enquire about purchasing more HOSPERSA SIM cards.
NOTE: Family members and or friends will NOT receive the monthly complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb data UNLESS they sign up to HOSPERSA to become a paying member.
All new SIM cards purchased for your family and friends will come preloaded with 300Mb data and R10.00 airtime (30-day expiry from date of SIM card activation).
Will there still be discounted rates for family and friends SIM cards even if they are NOT HOSPERSA Paying Members?
Yes! All HOSPERSA SIM cards that are linked to your friends and family members will get data and airtime at reduced prices, and they can top up through the HOSPERSA SIM Connect App (available from all app stores), or by purchasing OTT or BLU vouchers at many retail outlets across the country.
If I cancel my HOSPERSA Membership, will I still get my monthly complimentary HOSPERSA 100Mb (7-day expiry) data?
No, you need to be an active paying HOSPERSA member in good standing to receive this benefit.
If I cancel my HOSPERSA Membership, can I (or my family and friends with HOSPERSA SIM cards) still continue to use the HOSPERSA SIM Card and purchase data and airtime at reduced prices?
Yes! For as long as you and or your family and friends keep your SIM card(s) in your mobile device(s), and remain active, you/they will be able to purchase data and airtime at reduced price.
